In the early 19th century, townhouses were quite popular among the middle class. A townhouse is easy and to build and less expensive than the usual single-family house. Townhouses have plenty of floors and living space for large families. Unlike owning a condominium, owning a townhouse means owning the entire property which may also include small yards.

Today, townhouses are popular with first-time homebuyers who want the privacy of a single-family home but are still on a budget. These townhouses tend to become more expensive in cities where single-family homes are scarce. However, in growing cities like San Francisco, New York, and Chicago, these types of homes are a top choice.

We want to tell you about some of the most qualified townhouse contractors around the country. Some bring years of experience in the industry; others have teams that expertly cater to their clients. All of these firms have honed their skills to the point that they are able to build structures for various markets including the multi-family sector.

If you are thinking about doing a construction project, we recommend checking each builder’s license with the local licensing board, speaking to past clients, and using our bidding system to get competitive quotes from at least 3 contractors. Getting multiple bids is the best way to ensure you get a fair price and that bids include the complete scope of work.
