While Arlington is best known for its various tourist attractions, the city is also a key center for business. With most of its population among those who have high educational attainment, it is a place with competent and skilled employees for companies to hire. There are high-technology companies that have moved to Arlington, alongside major associations and groups. This includes the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and the American Chemistry Association.

For companies that are interested in moving to or staying in Arlington, we have a list of the best tenant improvement contractors in the area. These firms understand how to ensure a space meets industry standards while catering to its tenant’s needs.

rand* construction

1029 North Royal St. Alexandria, VA 22314

rand* construction used to be a small firm that focused on interior design with seven employees. Now, it is an award-winning contracting firm specializing in tenant improvement, building renovation, base building, retail, restaurant, and design-build construction services. While rand* construction is located in Alexandria, the firm also serves Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Denver, and surrounding areas. The firm’s open work environment encourages employees to take a more creative and innovative approach toward projects.

The Avalon Bay is one of rand* construction’s Arlington projects. The scope of work included an interconnecting stair between four floors; this required heavy design-build work to balance design intent with structural integrity. rand* construction worked closely with the design team to make up for the limited preconstruction time, which resulted in coordinated critical long-lead finishes. The collaboration was particularly important for the work done on the 10th floor where there are three interconnected custom ceilings.
