Situated in the heart of California’s most productive agricultural region, Fresno is a stunning, sophisticated city dotted with gardens and parks. Fresno is the economic hub of Fresno County and the San Joaquin Valley and has a thriving local economy. The city’s business community has a steady need for new and updated offices that are appropriate for Fresno’s climate and cultural context.

Below is a list of the best office architects in Fresno, California. The architects on this list were chosen based on several criteria, including their background, their design process, and their recognition in the field.

Paul Halajian Architects

389 Clovis Ave. Ste. 100, Clovis, CA 93612

Founded in 2010, Paul Halajian Architects is a young architecture firm based in Clovis, California. It was established by LEED Accredited Professional Paul Halajaian, AIA, with a desire to provide the area with a dedicated, focused service. When working with the firm, clients can expect principal-level care and attention, as Paul works closely with the firm’s architects and designers to design high-performing building projects. The firm also utilizes state-of-the-art tools when providing architecture, planning, and interior design services to ensure that each project’s program and requirements are addressed.

The Mercedes-Benz of Fresno dealership featured here is an example of Paul Halajian’s work in commercial and office spaces. For this 19,729-square-foot renovation project, the team upgraded features of the building to comply with the Mercedes-Benz USA-mandated Autohaus design standards. The team updated the exterior to incorporate the distinct Autohaus façade, including the new colors, corporate signage, and interior amenities. Additionally, the owners of the dealership wanted a way to protect the cars in the elevated parking deck, so the team added a solar array to cover the area as well as reduce energy consumption.

Arthur Dyson Architects

1295 N. Wishon Ave, Fresno, CA 93728

Backed by 52 years of experience, Arthur Dyson Architects is a well-established architecture and environmental design firm in Fresno. It has designed well over 700 buildings and several library facilities. Its wide range of experience across different markets enables it to tackle the particularities involved in designing offices in Fresno, regardless of the project’s size or scope.

The firm’s principal, Arthur Dyson, has an extensive background in architecture and worked with several well-known firms before establishing his own practice. Under his strong leadership, the firm has designed many beautiful structures, some of which have been featured and recognized by ArchDaily, The OAA, Association of Licensed Architects, Society of Architectural Historians, and Yanko Design in 2021.

Above is the DSJ office in Fresno that Arthur Dyson Architects designed. For this project, the designer wanted to combine the 1960s Mid-century Modern building and the modern direction that the client wanted. The resulting office embodies a sleek and modern atmosphere, accented with striking geometric details. The reception area, pictured here, is defined by maple wood flooring, contrasting with the gray-toned, neutral colors of the walls. The neutrality creates a foil for the more eye-catching features, like the geometric maple reception desk that appears to float above its stainless steel base.

2133 Amador St, Fresno, CA 93721

Antoyan Architecture is an experienced architecture firm that has been providing the Fresno area with expert design services for several markets, from simple residential remodels to complex institutional projects. The firm’s style spans from serious, straightforward designs to playful and unique creations. The firm provides a high level of commitment to all of its projects, regardless of project type or size. An example is the law office of Baradat and Paboojian, shown here, a clean, white office building with an iconic, Mediterranean-inspired architecture that is characteristic of the area.
