The firms on this list are known for their ability to construct spectacular kitchens. Most of the designs or styles done by these firms are contemporary, Craftsman, traditional, or transitional styles. The firms in this list have won awards for these kitchens. The accolades include the Home Builder Association (HBA) of Tulsa’s Remodeler of the Year award and the Builder of the Year Award, the National Association of Home Builders’ National Remodeler of the Month and National Certified Graduate Remodeler of the Year awards, and several other minor awards. Along with these wins, the firms on this list were featured in different industry publications such as Luxe Magazine, Builder Architect Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, and Elite Home Magazine.
Since these firms are also recognized within their community, most were also recognized by community magazines including Oklahoma Home and Lifestyle, Tulsa People Magazine, The Tulsa Daily World, and Tulsa Business Chronicle. To further credit these companies, some are also affiliated with industry organizations including the HBA of Tulsa, Tulsa HBA Remodelers’ Council, the Oklahoma State Home Builders Association (OSHBA), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

13) Residential Services of Tulsa

Founded in 1987, Residential Services of Tulsa is experienced in kitchen and bathroom remodeling as well as custom cabinetry, new additions, and even complete remodels. These projects usually come in the traditional, transitional, contemporary, rustic, and Craftsman styles. One of the firm’s most notable works is a Mediterranean-style kitchen. Featuring a calming white and blue palette, this kitchen’s most notable feature is the backsplash displaying alternatively shaded blue tiles that highlight the room’s calming ambiance.
Residential Services of Tulsa is owned by Randy Carter; he is known for the personal attention he directs at any project given to his team.
12) Artisan Construction

A firm that’s best known for involving the homeowner with every single aspect of the project, Artisan Construction was established in 2006 as a firm that does new construction and remodels. One of these notable projects is a farmhouse style kitchen. It has a light palette that’s gentle to the eye, and the furniture and decor underline the quaint atmosphere.
Artisan Construction knows it is a small company. However, the firm makes this an advantage; their size allows them to take the time to get to know its clients. That high level of personal knowledge results in better customer relations and attention to detail many larger firms can’t offer. Currently, the firm is a member of the HBA of Tulsa and is headed and owned by Darren Rager, who started doing exterior remodeling in 1992 before starting his own company, Affordable Exteriors Inc., in 2000.
11) Baucos

A full-service luxury home design and renovation firm, Baucos is best known for its execution of modern, contemporary, Craftsman, and European styles. One of its most notable works is a minimalist Craftsman styled kitchen built for a cozy cabin. The gorgeous wood is the first thing you notice about this space. And the kitchen has a wooden slab table where matching stools are set with thin steel legs thin enough for onlookers to see the stone flooring that balances out the room’s natural look. One side of the wall has tall cabinets that display unity with the surroundings and while providing perfect functionality. To give the space a pop of color, a strip of bright orange frames the white walls.
Formed in 2005, Baucos is known for creating projects that combine high quality with enduring functionality. Its founder Jens Quilitzsch’s native home in the Black Forest region of southern Germany informs many of the firm’s striking designs.
10) La Rue Homes

Since 2006, La Rue Homes has been doing remodels for the Tulsa metro area. These remodels are usually completed for home exteriors, kitchens, baths, living rooms, and outdoor living spaces. Adorned with striking decor and surfaces covered in marble, the space’s light palette is balanced by the dark wooden cabinets lining one side of the wall and using the available space.
La Rue Homes is owned by Jeff La Rue who is one reason the firm can create beautiful projects. La Rue has worked in the industry for over two decades. During this time, he was able to secure a reputation for outstanding quality craftsmanship and brilliant project management. Because he is also a builder who gives infinite attention to details, each home improvement project usually results in repeat customers and referrals.
9) Renovation and Construction Services

Established very recently, in 2017, Renovation and Construction Services is already building a reputation for both the commercial and residential projects it takes on. That includes additions, new custom homes, and remodels to tenant improvements, new construction, and building expansion. A great example of its remodeling work is this modern style kitchen. The kitchen’s elegance is enhanced by the long, wide marble island serving double duty as a dining area and a preparation counter.
Aside from the firm’s membership in the HBA of Tulsa, Renovation and Construction Services is headed and owned by Mitch Myers who also owns Thermal Specialties in Tulsa and Fort Worth. And he’s also worked as the global vice president of operations for FW Murphy, an instrumentation and controls company based in Tulsa.
8) Rossi Brothers

Established in 1972, Rossi Brothers is owned by Van and Glenn Rossi who have a combined 60 years of experience in the home remodeling business. With this experience, the firm has been able to complete kitchen remodels in a variety of different styles. One example of the firm’s kitchens is this traditionally styled space. Granting wide space for movement, the room has a corner island where food can either be prepared or served.
In addition to Van and Glenn Rossi’s combined 60 years of building experience, the two also possess impressive resumes that helped the company thrive. Van Rossi for, for instance, has been involved in numerous local professional organizations ranging from the Metro Home Builders Association to holding the title of former President of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. 7) 180 Kitchen Design Group

Established in 2010, 180 Kitchen Design Group combines the concept of a complete design and renovation service. One result of the firm’s service is a kitchen exhibiting the Craftsman style. Centered around a large, wide island with a granite countertop and wooden cabinets, the kitchen is a warm and inviting space that has an impressive dark wood mantelpiece against the kitchen backsplash. This notable feature highlights the dark timber work and balances dark and light colors.
Before the firm offered complete design and renovation services, it was known as a firm that focused primarily on cabinetry. After being purchased by current firm principal Jeff Pense, it expanded its services to complete renovations for bathrooms, room additions, outdoor living spaces. The firm also provides construction management and design services.
6) Timco Tulsa

Owned and operated by Tim Salmon, Timco Tulsa is a firm that was featured in Tulsa World Online and has been doing kitchens in the old world, Craftsman, and traditional styles. One of these kitchens exhibits the Craftsman style. Surrounded by several wall cabinets, the kitchen’s wide island serves as the dining table and has numerous drawers and cabinets that make full use of the space underneath the marble countertop.
Ever since the firm’s establishment in 1999, Timco Tulsa is also known to do additions, floor coverings, countertops, sidings, bathrooms, other remodels, renovations, and windows. For the past 10 years, the firm has performed its work with a mere 10 employees.
5) Powers Design and Build

Established in 1979, Powers Design and Build is known as a boutique building company that has already completed over 1,000 projects. One of the firm’s most notable works is a contemporary L-shaped kitchen. Carrying a chic and stylish design that highlights the space’s modern decor, it is framed by a balance of dark and light colors. The room’s most notable feature is the large, wide white island that comes with several cabinets and drawers. Another notable feature is the pecan wood and concrete slab table set at one side and decorated with elegant ornamentation that mirrors the table’s natural elements.
Thanks to projects like these, the firm was recognized as one of the Top 500 Remodelers and was given the 2017 Tulsa People’s magazine’s Reader’s Choice award. A full-service remodeling and restoration company, Grant Homes is known for working on older turn-of-the-century homes in Tulsa’s historic neighborhoods. One great example of the firm’s work is a bright and welcoming kitchen in the traditional style highlighted by an inviting light blue color. For over two decades, Grant Homes was recognized by the industry for its craftsmanship. In 2013, it won the HBA of Tulsa Spirit Award and the 2014 HBA of Tulsa Remodeler of the Year award. Two years later, the NAHB named it National Remodeler of the Month and, in 2017, it won NAHB’s National Certified Graduate Remodeler of the Year. By 2018, the HBA had named it Builder of the Year. Currently, the firm is guided by Peter Grant. Peter studied architectural engineering and business management at Oklahoma University, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Tulsa. While working for the company, Grant also served as the 2013 president of the HBA of Tulsa Remodelers council. In 2015, he was the vice president-secretary of the HBA of Tulsa, then served as the 2016 vice president-treasurer. By 2019, Grant was the president of the greater Tulsa HBA Remodelers Council. Grant also serves as a mayoral appointee to the Tulsa Preservation Commission.
3) Sonrise Construction

Sonrise Construction was established in 2000, and the firm has over 11,000 highly satisfied customers that have experienced its work on kitchens and bathrooms in the modern, traditional, rustic, transitional, contemporary, and old-world styles. One of the firm’s most notable projects is a chic modern kitchen draped in minimalist grays and creams that highlight an eye-catching red. Projects like this brought the firm awards, such as the 2012 Best of Broken Arrow award in the Construction Services categories, and the prestigious National Remodeler Of The Month from Qualified Remodeler Magazine in 2017. 2) Buckingham Group

Buckingham Group has been recognized as one of the pioneers and current leaders in residential design-build remodeling in the Tulsa metropolitan area. This 38-year old firm’s most popular kitchen styles exhibit the traditional, transitional, and modern styles. One of these notable projects is a Craftsman styled kitchen. Aside from having two islands with marble countertops, the space also highlights the use of finely crafted wood for the dark walnut wood cabinets and a decorative mantelpiece set above the fine tilework put against the macaroon colored wall. A line of yellow lights hangs over the islands, highlighting the light earthy colors that exude a welcoming warmth.
It’s due to projects like these that the firm won awards such as the Tulsa Home Builders Association’s 2011 and 2017 Tulsa Remodeler of the Year awards. With projects such as this, the firm was known to win awards like the Adex Gold award for Design Excellence and the Adex Platinum Award for Design Excellence. Alongside these awards, the firm was also named Oklahoma Magazine’s Best of the Best for Kitchen Designer and has been featured in several publications. Some of these publications include the 2017 People of Midtown, NEFF Beautiful Living, Preview Magazine, and Tulsa People Magazine, where it was included in the A-List, and MyNetworkTV, where the firm hosts Heartland Renovations. This firm was established in 2011, but its design team possesses over 50 years of experience working on projects ranging from kitchens and bathrooms to furniture and cabinetry.
