FCGA architecture

Reminiscent of Italian-style architecture, this outlet mall Piazza Rubino is a 48,000-square-foot project by FCGA Architecture located in Livermore, California. This shopping center serves the neighborhood with retail, offices, and Campo di Bocce, a popular bocce-dining destination. The massing of two-story tower features, flat roof stone veneer elements, larger gable roofed structures, the distinct color, material, and lighting package all work together to contribute to the Old World Italian wine country design character.

Looking at the portfolio of Hereld & Ayres, its past work clearly shows how the principals complement each other well with its comprehensive experience in projects designed in steel, concrete tilt up, and wood frame construction. Such is its design for Lokanta restaurant. The ambiance is warmed by wooden beams, concrete floors, and a textured brick wall that gives off a rustic yet modern finishing.
